Importing your existing file into TreeView

Please select from the links below to view specific instructions for exporting your tree from your software or website.

  1. Log in to your Ancestry account
  2. Click the "Trees" tab and select the tree you wish to export
  3. Click the dropdown for the selected tree and select "Tree Settings"
  4. Under Manage Your Tree click "Export Tree"
  5. Once the GEDCOM has been generated click "Download your GEDCOM file"
  1. Log in to your Find My past account
  2. Click the "Family Tree" tab and select "View All Trees"
  3. Click the "Export Tree" button
  4. Once the GEDCOM has been generated click "Download Tree"
  1. Log in to your MyHeritage account
  2. Click the "Family Tree" tab and select "Manage Trees"
  3. Click "Export to GEDCOM"
  4. Click the "Begin the export" button and your file will be downloaded
  1. Log in to your GenesReunited account
  2. Click the "Family Tree" tab and select "Export GEDCOM"
  3. Click the "Export GEDCOM" button
  4. Once the GEDCOM has been generated it will be delivered to your registered email address
  1. Open your Family Tree Maker file
  2. Click "File"-"Export"
  3. Select GEDCOM from the Output Format dropdown and click OK
  4. Click OK and save your file to your computer
  1. Open your Family Historian file
  2. Click "File"-"Import/Export"-"Export"-"GEDCOM File"
  3. Select individuals you want to include
  4. Click OK and save your file to your computer
  1. Open your RootsMagic Database file
  2. Click "File"-"Export"
  3. Click OK and save your file to your computer
  1. Open your Legacy Database file
  2. Click "File"-"Export-"GEDCOM"
  3. Click "Select File Name and START EXPORT"
  4. Save the file to your computer
  1. Open your Reunion Database file
  2. Click "File"-"Export-"GEDCOM"
  3. Select destination as GEDCOM 5.5 from the dropdown and click Export
  4. Save the file to your computer
  1. Open your MyHeritage Database file
  2. Click "File"-"Export GEDCOM"
  3. Proceed through the export wizard to export your GEDCOM file
