Resolving place names

Sometimes you will need to change a place name before it appears on the map, for example changing 'Salisbury' to 'Salisbury, Wiltshire'. Resolving place names helps eliminate any spelling mistakes or erroneous data in your database. To resolve a place name, go to the 'Maps' screen, right-click on the place in the 'Location list' on the left hand side, then click 'Resolve Place Name'. You will then be shown a number of options - click to select the one you want to change the place name to, then click 'OK'. This will then change the place in your database.
