Repositories

A repository is a place where a source is held - for example, The National Archives is a repository for many records in England. Adding repositories to your database helps to add details to your sources.

You can see a list of repositories in your database by clicking the 'Lists' icon in the toolbar at the top, then click 'Repositories' on the left hand side. You can edit or delete repositories from this list by either double-clicking on the repository, or right-clicking on the repository.

You can add a repository to a source by using the Source List. Click the 'Lists' icon in the toolbar at the top, then click 'Sources' on the left hand side to access the Source List for the database. Double-click on the source to bring up the 'Edit Source' window, then click the 'Repositories' tab at the top of the window. You can then click 'Add Repository' to add a repository to the source.
